Talk to some old-school smokers — folks who were lighting up in the late ’70s and early ’80s — and chances are they might have fond memories of hash, also known as hashish. For many, it results in a cleaner, stronger high that feels less sleepy than smoking pure bud.

 

How to smoke hash:

 

As with any extract, the answer to this is “very carefully” — hash is strong.

 

Roll it into a joint: The more traditional, low-cost way to smoke it is to roll it in a joint. You can either roll it with tobacco (commonly called a “spliff”) or add it to a regular weed joint.

 

Pipe or bong: Put a mesh screen in your pipe or bong and load the bowl with hash.
